Amber and Lucas decided to tie the knot in one of their favorite places: near the Skyomish River in the small town of Baring, Washington, with only their siblings by their side. They rented a cabin overlooking the river. Played some frisbee before their ceremony, which was officiated by the groom’s sister; ordered barbecue from one of their favorite spots, and had an impromptu dance party together in the living room to celebrate. It was a small gathering with lots of fun and big heart. A fave for sure.
Congrats, loves!

The countryside in Hillsboro, Oregon, where Natalie and Shayfer were married last month, surprised me in the best way. Much to my delight, this particular PNW setting makes for a drive-with-the-windows-down and watch-the-rolling-hills-pass-by kind of commute. Farm land. Hills of gold and green. Nice and hot in the summer.

As if the setting of Scholls Valley Lodge didn’t already make me feel as if I’d won the awesome wedding jackpot; this couple was also top-notch. They were THE NICEST. Their guests, gracious. Oh, and they’re former choir nerds like me, so I couldn’t help but feel an extra-nerdy connection to them. These are my people!

Wide, open spaces. Super sweet couple. Happy Krista. Congratulations, Natalie and Shayfer!

I LOVE THESE GUYS. Pam and Brandon are good friends, and they just welcomed their first baby ever into the world a few weeks back! Sadly, we no longer live in the same state, but they invited me over for a photo session the last time I was visiting Colorado. How cute is their home? How adorable was Pam’s baby belly? How much do I want to be their next door neighbor someday? (like a lot.) This was my favorite type of session- just hangin’ out. Not a lot of posing. Just shooting the breeze and snuggling as many pets as possible in the meantime.
