The morning of Danielle and Sean’s wedding, it poured sheets of rain during the drive out to Cle Elum. Rain like that might give us wedding photographers a bit of anxiety at times, but that day was different for me. The fall color along the drive through Snoqualmie Pass, and saturating the rural roads near the venue, popped like crazy against the gray skies. The yellows and reds only seemed deeper after a good rain. And to top it all off, there were lovely low clouds on the hillsides, not too far from the farm. Quiet. Fresh air. It’s easy to feel like you don’t have a care in the world in a place like that.
The rain stopped just in time for portraits. (High five!)
Danielle and Sean picked Ritter Farms in Cle Elum for their celebration. Amazing choice! It was my first time shooting there, and I am smitten. I would shoot there again in a heartbeat. Such a beautiful place for my last wedding of the year!
We drove out to the small town of Roslyn for their church ceremony. I especially liked the rose petal toss after the kiss! Back at the venue, the couple agreed to some extra portrait time so that the videographers and I could snag some more moments for them before the reception festivities began. Inside the barn, the light shines through small cracks, making the atmosphere extra-dreamy.
‘Twas a good day! Thanks Danielle and Sean, and your families, for inviting me along! Much love to ya!
