Sarah and Ian were married on a glorious September day at Alki Bathhouse in West Seattle. It was one of those days that was, from a photographer’s perspective, easy-breezy and felt effortless. I give all credit for these good vibes to the couple because Sarah and Ian’s epic love for one another is palpable. I’m not even being sappy, here; it’s basically science. Their connection is undeniable and a total inspiration. They even have a secret handshake, which they performed at their ceremony. Staahhhhp.
Speaking of their ceremony, let’s talk about the fun details that helped to form this day. From the tiny, silver dinosaurs that guests were asked to bless as they picked a seat (!) to the unconventional hot dog stand catering; the cocktail the groom prepared as the couple’s first toast before they said “I do,” and his awesome processional — Ian didn’t just walk solemnly down the aisle… he made an entrance, jogging victoriously toward the ceremony site, high-fiving guests as he made his way up to the front as the Rocky song played. These two kiddos kept things creative, clever, and sweet. Sarah is also gifted in mad floral design skills… her DIY arrangements turned out beautifully. Also, scroll down to look at their ridiculously cute cake toppers. Dooooo iiiiiit!
Seattle even blessed their union with a perfectly-timed rainbow at the end of the day. I mean, come on. How fun that was!
This wedding proves that you don’t have to spend a ton of money on a fancy venue to have a dreamy day… Especially if you’re blessed with a rainbow. :) Congrats, Sarah and Ian!
^^Easily one of my favorite bridesmaids of all time. Raising the roof in celebration! <3
