Happy Holidays! I can’t say enough good things about this wedding I’m about to share. Charisse and Brian were married in September at one the loveliest venues I’ve seen in our neck of the woods: Froggsong Gardens by Herban Feast. It’s located on Vashon Island, just a short ferry ride away from downtown Seattle. Vashon is an authentically Northwest place, and Froggsong is reflective of the natural beauty of the island. It’s lush and expansive, but intimate at the same time. Some of the most incredible gardens I’ve seen with my own eyes; refined, but nowhere near stuffy. You know you’re entering a special place when you arrive.
Charisse and Brian invited Katie and her team at Wonderstruck Event Design to help the couple plan and design their day. Not only did the details of this day reflect the couple’s story, their love of travel, their beloved Northwest, and their last name (Starr), it was also an authentic expression of the love for their families. It was such a fun day!
I’ve so loved being a part of their wedding journey. The way they nurture and support each other is an inspiration and reminds me what this job is all about — documenting that love for the couples who invite me aboard. Congrats, guys!
Speaking of Herban Feast, I will be participating in the I Do Sodo wedding show this February. So for those of you who are newly engaged and ready to buckle down on wedding planning, plan on hanging out with us on February 21st! Buy tickets here.
